Crime Victims’ Rights Ceremony

Celebrating strength, resilience, and justice. In April, the Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office hosted their “22nd Annual Crime Victims’ Rights Ceremony” in honor of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. Mayor Alan Krasnoff presented a proclamation of support to Sheriff Jim O’Sullivan, before Commonwealth’s Attorney Nancy Parr and the CSO’s Victim Witness department presented awards and certificates of recognition. The highlight of the ceremony was the traditional placing of the ribbons. Participants placed ribbons on a tree in honor of loved ones affected by crime.
