Auxiliary Deputies

The Chesapeake Sheriff's Office is looking for any Volunteer's looking to join the Auxiliary Corps. The Auxiliary Corps was started over 30 years ago and helps the Sheriff's Department in many ways. When you join the Corps you volunteer about twenty hours a month. You need to be twenty-one years of age or older, have a high school diploma, and a background check will be completed. Once accepted into the program you will be trained over the next year to do the same job as a Deputy. If you are interested in joining the Auxiliary Corps please come to the Chesapeake Sheriff’s Administrative Office to pick up the application for this rewarding opportunity.
